| Application Flow for Study in Canadian High Schools |
I. To submit an application to a high school registered in Canada II. To pay tuition and handle the following documents after receiving admission:
1. Deposit receipt: it will be used to show your economic capacity to the embassy: It is recommended to provide a longer time receipt with a Certificate of Redeposit. Reasonable causes shall be given if it is deposited recently, or else the embassy will doubt that your deposit may be borrowed. The bank shall issue a “Certificate of Deposit” (Note: the certificate shall carry validity, and not be issued so early and the deposit shall be frozen within the validity).
2. Certificates of securities, vehicles and house property: they will work the same as the bank deposits and be notarized.
3. Necessary educational certificates: Students graduating from high schools in China are expected by Canadian government to study preparatory university (namely high school), so you should provide a diploma (Student in grade III must provide a “Study Certificate” and submit a diploma to the embassy after graduation so as to advance the visa procedures normally) and a three-year school reports (A copy shall be kept in the school for any verification by the embassy). III. With normal notice of admission, the candidate shall apply for a passport in local bureau of public security with notice of admission, household register, ID card, diploma or study certificate to the to apply for a passport.
Procedures:
1. Take photos and translate the notice of admission in an agency as agreed.
2. Take the above-mentioned documents for the first review.
3. Apply for the consent of the school (signature of headmaster, official seal of the CPC organization in the school)
4. A passport will be issued after the second review.
IV. Application for Student Visa
Submittals to the embassy:
1. Certificates of Property: documents to be handled as above.
2. Certificates for Economic Warranty: including a certificate of relations between the candidate and the warrantor (such as father-child relationship), notice of admission, certificate of education.
3. Other documents required by the embassy:
An essay “on Why to Study in Canada”: it is a chance for the candidate to state that he/she has no “migration tendency”, and enable the visa officers to understand your will to return home between the lines, however, the contents shall be based on facts but not empty.
