PREFACE
With the rapid development in science and technology, increasing detailed work distribution in the international world, accelerating pace of global economic and diversity and integration of culture; to connect the international resources pro-actively and put internationalization in the first priority, or just accept passively or obey blindly are the key winning factors and guarantee of identifying and ensuring a country’s economy stands out in the world competition and these have been a global consensus.

1. PROGRAMME INTRODUCTION
Participants can enhance their academic or vocational skills and expertise in the field, learn U.S. technology, methods, knowledge and professional skills by training as internship under the programme.
Such training and internship program also allows students to have exchange with their American colleagues, know more about American culture and society. When students return to their own countries, they can share their experiences with their people. The placements will be provided by the well known incorporations in different states of USA with 36 professional internship opportunities

F.   Learn the most authentic American English and American corporation culture
The demand of English ability for U.S. Paid Internship international cultural exchange programme is comparatively lower than study abroad. Participants only need to have either SLEP, TOFEL or TOEIC results meeting the requirements. The most important is you will face the actual language proficiency tests in daily American life and work place.
G.   High visa application successful rate
The visa type of U.S. Paid Internship international cultural exchange programme is exchange visitor visa - "J-1". This is neither "F-1" student visa, nor "H" work permit. As we all know, U.S. visa is the most difficult to obtain. Student visa is not easy, not to mention work visa, but the main "J-1" exchange visitor visa requirement is: the participants in the exchange programme must return to their own countries after the end exchange programme. This promise can ease the official’s doubt.
H.   EASTWEST, many universities (Peking University...etc.) and the Chinese State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs co-build internship and training bases overseas and domestic.  The programme is safe and reliable.
3.The categories as below:

 

Internship

A structured and guided, work-based learning in the participant’s academic experience and study as documented in the Individualized Training/Internship Placement Plan (TIPP).

Currently enrolled in a degree- or certificate-granting post-secondary academic institution outside the U.S. OR Have graduated from such an institution within 12 months of program start date;
Participants can rejoin the programme and apply in USA for further study.

 

Training

A structured and guided, work-based learning which enhances and builds upon the participant’s existing skills in his/her chosen professional field as documented in the TIPP.

A degree or professional certificate from a foreign post secondary academic institution acquired outside the U.S. OR Five years of related professional experience acquired outside the U.S. but must wait at least 2 years after the end of previous J-1 Training Programme.
If you are in the U.S., one year related professional work experience is required.

*Please note:* The J-1 exchange visitor visa does not allow international trainees to change the designated host employer or gain employment outside of the original programme or extend their training past 18 months.

4.Internship Training USA - Summary of Conditions
  1. Type of job - Internship placements in various fields.
  2. Application time – any working day.
  3. Salary (other benefits) $8.00 - $25.00 per hour, might vary depending on location and occupational sector.
  4. Accommodation - Various accommodation schemes are available.
  5. Location of job placement USA, various locations.
  6. When to apply? - All applications should be submitted 16 weeks prior to preferred entry date. The placement begins anytime of the year, from 3 months to 18 months. You will obtain J-1 exchange visitor visa for joining this programme.
5.Internship placement details
The placement is based on your completed application form, your English level and the host companies. It is your responsibility to provide as much detail as possible about yourself.  We will do our utmost effort to match your application with the most appropriate host companies.

Accounting

Works may include invoice issue and payment process.  Reconciliation of bank statements, prepare sales tax returns, and post to the general ledger.

Advertising/ Marketing/ Public Relations

Works may include writing press releases, research, social networks and media inventory edit and schedule edit.

Agriculture and Ecology

Assist in research and drafting of Agriculture reports.  Agricultural trade policy review, analysis, and market development plans

Architecture

General drafting and CAD drawings, three-dimensional work.  To help distribute information, parcels, documents and so on.  Make model of the required samples.

5

Arts, Arts Museum and Gallery

Exhibition layout, gallery tours, and assistance in research and compilation of materials. May also include assistance preparation in applying for funds and sponsors programmes.

Business

Customer relations, account management, database maintenance.  May also include preparation of financial budgets, dealing with files and file copying.

Chemistry and Biology

Assist the routine day operation of chemical laboratory, assist in all areas for chemical analysis, and research report writing.

Child Care

Plan and implement activities to achieve the physical, emotional, mental and social requirements for children in this programme.  Ensure the equipment and facilities are clean, under good maintenance and safe at all times.  Develop appropriate culturally programmes and activities.

Communication (TV/ Radio)

Participate all stages of the production process.  Collect data and prepare simple notes to use for the interview and assist in shooting.  Organize files, transcribe interviews and record tapes.

Cooking

Assist in a restaurant, bakery or coffee shop.  May include presentation for the first course (cold and hot), and even the first and second course.  Customer service focus.

Education

Research and establish educational programs and courses, manage programmes, and assist in a variety of tasks.

Engineering (Civil/ Mechanic/ Electrical)

CAD and CNC router programme may be included.  Help find the way turning the engineering plastics to metal / steel substitute.  Liaise consultant engineers and mechanical engineers and provide information.

Engineering (Structure/ Biology and Chemistry)

Read the structure drawing / document and also refer to drawings of the construction and other engineering consulting firms.  Basic design and AutoCAD drafting.

Project Planning

Assist in the work-related activities, including planning, promotion, supporting and customer relations.

Environmental Science

Personal practice in a wide range of environmental measures and programme management.  Go into the individual, media, organizations and policy makers to create awareness and gain their support.

Fashion Merchandising

Fashion distribution management, inventory control and fashion sales.  Invoice management and control, assist the production process and learn making clothing and design techniques.  Other general administration that the management require.

Fashion Design

Costume design and manufacturing, product quality control, including: drawing, sewing, draping, cardboard making, cutting, color / swatches, assist chief designer, fabric / color selection.

Fashion Photography

Help photography exhibition set up.  Work in studio, using a variety of different photo shooting equipment, such as business, design, and fashion show.

Film/ Theatre

Experience with software such as adobe premier pro for editing and grading work.  Planning, making and editing.

Finance and Economics

Assist in any projects on asset management, investment banking, financial services and general office work to strengthen all aspects of experience.  Finance and investment analysis and financial marketing activities.  Assist financial markets activities and relevant financial business management and business research.

Graphic Design

Assist in the management of online business, including Web sites and social networking profile (at MySpace, Facebook, ThinkMTV).  Create / design / prepare website design (banners, buttons, title, slogan and image).  Publish new content and format creation/ design /e-mail communication

Government/ Politics

Research, writing and tracking legislation, attending congressional hearings, and provide hearing report.  Provide administrative and litigation support, and to communicate with voters.

Health Services

May include physiotherapy or specific health problem placements.  Work includes: assisting customers proceed health activities and research works.

Drafting of press releases and announcements, and staffing for news  events. Journalists and channels research. Writing and research works appointed by other connected and marketing directors.

Gain experience in the service professions, and manage the kitchen and front-line staff.  Work includes orders taking, menu preparation and planning, parties and activities.

To help recruit new staff, including the preparation of the conversion scheme, personnel files creation and file classification.  Maintain various publications and human resources archives, and establish the file date for various human resources issues.
